As the time progressed the multi-coloured land slashed by sand-hills, forests, alkali
deserts and grasslands kept its original beauty. The protection of nature preserved
such rarities, as the famous juniper grove, and other special elements of the grassy
and flora. Farmhouses are recalling the ancient pastoral lifestyle in harmony with
the native fauna.
Bugac has an important place in the tourism of Hungary because all the visitors can
become witness of the traditional everyday life of our ancestors, and of their traditional
animal keeping. Visitors come from far away in order to get to know our domesticated native animals.
Excursing in the puszta we don't have to walk long to notice some so-called "racka"-sheep
(special Hungarian breaded race of sheep) with twirled horns grazing peacefully. Moving a
little bit farther away the sound of the cattle bell is calling our attention to a herd of
the robust Hungarian grey cattle living undisturbed on the plain of Bugac
UNESCO acknowledged the natural values of the Kiskunság National Park as well.
Two-thirds of its area was declared as a biosphere reservation in 1979.

Puszta Ltd. We can decide here to go on foot or getting on a horse-carriage.
Our way leads on the red-marked tourist-way beside the pastoral buildings.
The museum of the National Park was built by the plan of Ybl-Prise honoured Joseph Kerényi.
Even this National Park is unimaginable without horses. The horse-show is an excellent
opportunity to get to know the life of shepherds even in lives. The knowledge of
horse-herds is demanding great and preparedness and skill, even their clothes
are recalling the past. The programme is showing the perfect harmony that developed
between animals and human taking care of them.
